"Bridge Shadow", was taken on a warm summer day, I was fishing in the San Diego Bay with my friends. We had stopped to drop our lines in the shadow of the Coronado bridge to get some relief from the heat. I grabbed my camera and decided to "catch" an image along with fishing. My friends asked me if, "I was going to fish or not?" I told them "I am going to do both". The results, is one of my favorite images and a favorite memory of that day. Enjoy!

Photo Impressionism* is a hand-applied technique on an original Polaroid photograph. The effect is created by the photographer shortly after taking a photograph with an SX-70 Polaroid camera using the "Time Zero" film. The photographer turns into an artist by using special tools to paint with the emulsion inside the photo envelope. The emulsion remains soft enough to be blended, mixed, and distorted by the artist. This effect creates a painted impressionistic look to each photograph.
